Add a contact

Three ways to add someone as a contact on Cirqil.

There are three ways to add someone.

1. Search on Cirqil

If the person is already on Cirqil:

  1. Open Contacts → Add.
  2. Go to the Search tab.
  3. Look them up by username or email.
  4. Tap Send request and pick which profile to share.

2. Invite by email

If they’re not on Cirqil yet, or you don’t know their username:

  1. Open Contacts → Add.
  2. Go to the Email tab.
  3. Pick from your device contacts, or type email addresses manually.
  4. Choose which profile to share when they accept.
  5. Send.

They’ll get an invite email with a link to sign up. When they do, you’re connected automatically.

3. Scan a QR code

In person:

  1. Open Contacts → Add.
  2. Go to the Scan QR tab.
  3. Grant camera access if prompted.
  4. Point at the other person’s Cirqil profile QR code.

The connection is instant.

Choosing which profile to share

Whichever method you use, Cirqil always asks which of your Profiles to share. Pick the one appropriate for the relationship.
